From the Revelation Wines press release:
While numerous tasting rooms fill Old Town Cottonwood in Northern Arizona, Revelation Wines will be the historic area’s first winery. Located just off Main Street at 102 E. Pima Street (corner of First St & Pima), a tasting room will also accompany the full-production winery in what previously housed a church. The opening is set for 2014, with exact dates to be announced in the coming months.
Revelation Wines is owned and operated by five members: Tim White, Paula Woolsey,
Lisa Rhodes, Scott Havice and Tom Schumacher. With over 40 years of combined experience in the wine industry, the owners are committed to enhancing people’s involvement and understanding beyond the tasting experience by bringing the winemaking process right into Old Town.
“We want to make the the whole process, from grape to bottle, accessible to people by providing creative ways in which they can learn, experience and enjoy wine,” said Woolsey.
With the winery and barrel storage visible from the tasting room, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the inner workings, and plans for events, tours and a wine club will offer additional onsite opportunities. Revelation Wines will serve food prepared by local chefs in the tasting room, as well as partner with other local businesses, educational institutions and organizations to create community involvement on many levels for residents and tourists alike.
Alongside its focus on local community and sustainability will be the brand’s efforts to expand nationally, supporting and drawing attention to Arizona wine as a whole. Wines will proudly showcase Arizona fruit as well as grapes from other regions throughout the western United States.
